Sir – You report that the Museum of Oxford is saved from Labour’s cuts.
Is that saved in the same way that Peers was ‘saved’? Labour claimed the pool was safe in their hands, and now announce it is being closed.
In the museum’s case, the truth is that its funding is being cut by 50 per cent in this year and 100 per cent in the next. An odd way to ‘save’ a service which is so popular with schoolchildren and adults in our city.
