Sir – I wonder if I could use your letters page to let people know that a NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies) group is going to be launched in Oxford, with the first meeting being planned for October.

The ‘other place’ has three active groups so it does seem to be a good thing for Oxford to have one. NADFAS not only organises monthly talks on Fine and Decorative Arts with top quality speakers, but also outings and study days.

There are also opportunities to become Church Recorders, to participate in conservation of art works and learn new skills in this field.
