Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted theft of lead in Chipping Norton.
At about 1.40am on January 27, residents of a farmhouse were woken by loud noises coming from their roof.
Two men were seen on the roof attempting to steal lead coverings and flashings. When challenged, both men ran off, dropping the lead they had stolen.
The offenders are believed to be male, and were seen wearing beanie hats and dark clothing.
