Only three schools in Oxfordshire have so far reported that they will be closed today due to ice and snow.
They are Shrivenham Primary School near Faringdon, Icknield Community College at Watlington and Sibford Gower Primary School, near Banbury.
Thirty-one schools across the county were closed yesterday, prompting criticism from some parents.
A severe weather warning remains in place across Oxfordshire with drivers being warned about icy conditions on the county’s roads.
Temperatures are not expected to rise until about 10am, and pedestrians are also being warned to take care when walking on icy pavements.
Heavy snow showers are forecast across the region tonight.
