Free courses are on offer to the unemployed to help them get a new job.
Abingdon & Witney College, in Northcourt Road, Abingdon, is offering free courses in maths and English for those on benefits, which includes JobSeekers’ Allowance.
Those who are unemployed can also get their tuition fees waived on any Government-funded course. In most cases this means that students could pay less than a third of the fee.
Steve Billcliffe, college development director, said: “We are pleased to be able to help the community at this time of uncertainty in the jobs market.”
To find out more about the 127 courses on offer, call the college on 01235 216407 or 01993 208032.
