It's a surprise that these hardy folk were looking so cheerful and wide-awake.
They had just completed a 24-hour marathon darts session and raised £1,000 for good causes.
More than 20 players, most of them seen here in a picture sent in by Mrs K McKay, of Bullstake Close, Oxford, played round the clock at West Oxford Democrats Club in 1991.
The highest scorer was Barry Stimpson, who played for the team at the Kite, in Mill Street.
Money raised from the marathon was divided between the minibus appeal for residents at Oseney Court old people’s home in Botley Road and the Oxford Laryngectomy Club.
