Council council gritting crews have been working overnight to lay salt on main roads and around key locations such as hospitals and schools.

First Great Western is operating a modified timetable, with a reduced number of through trains between Oxford and London.
Express services in both directions between Oxford and London will be cancelled all day and the only fast trains operating on the route will be those running from and to the Cotswold Line, which will run at normal times.
Passengers from Oxford are advised instead to use stopping services bound for Reading, which will leave Oxford at seven minutes and 37 minutes past the hour, from 4.07am today until 12.37am tomorrow, and change at Didcot Parkway to join fast trains to London there.
In the opposite direction, these stopping trains will leave Reading for Oxford at 24 and 54 minutes past the hour, from 5.54am until 12.24am tomorrow.
These stopping services will call at all stations between Oxford and Reading. Passengers from Radley, Culham and Appleford should change at Didcot for London and passengers from Cholsey and Goring & Streatley should change at Reading.
Express services between Didcot Parkway and Bristol will operate at normal times, but services to and from South Wales will only run hourly. Passengers for Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham will have to change at Swindon.
The Henley branch line will operate to a normal timetable, but the peak-hour through trains to and from London will not run off the branch and passengers should change at Twyford.
