Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop at the scene of a crash in Witney.
At 7.20pm last Tuesday, outside Tesco Express in Edington Square, Deer Park, a blue Nissan X-Trail, which was parked, was hit by a silver Mercedes E-Class. No one was injured, but the driver of the Mercedes made off from the scene.
PC Roger Gilbert at Witney police station said: “Obviously, it is vital we trace the driver of the Mercedes, so we would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident.
“I particularly want to speak to the person who helped the owner of the Nissan after her car was hit – you may have important information, so please get in touch.”
PC Gilbert can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
