New patients are being admitted to a ward at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after it was hit by a winter vomiting bug.
On Friday, staff at the hospital in Headington decided not to admit new patients to the surgical emergency ward because a number of patients were affected by the bug, which left them suffering diarrhoea and vomiting.
But Helen Peggs, a spokesman for the hospital, said patients affected were recovering and new patients were today being admitted to the ward.
She added: “No patients are suffering long-term effects of the bug.”
