l I wish to comment on the withdrawal of the late licence at The Plough in Garsington.
There was a petition organised in support of the pub. The police have rarely had to come to any trouble there, and the pub is very strict on under age drinkers.
The landlord had turned it around from a negelcted pub to one that was nice to go to, and which was becoming a good business.
Now, due to complaints, the pub has had its late licence withdrawn.
It is council policy gone barmy.
Now the pub is like a graveyard and I hope those who complained are happy when it goes under.
I am a firm believer that a pub is an adult place of entertainment and, yes, there will be some noise. People should not live next door to a pub if they don’t like it.
Myself and a lot of other villagers who have lived here for a long time are very disappointed at the attitude the council and those complaining have shown.
