Firefighters tackled a severe fire in the ground floor of a house in Headington during the early hours.
The blaze broke out in the rear lounge of the two-storey detached three-bedroom house in Lime Walk, at 12.25am.
No one from Oxfordshire Fire Service was available for comment, but it is understood residents escaped unharmed.
