The Oxford Mail has launched a campaign urging the people of Oxfordshire to get behind this year’s Poppy Appeal.
If every man, woman and child in the county donated a pound to the appeal, it would generate £635,000, which would surpass last year’s county total of £611,000 – so please give generously.
If you would like to do more for the Poppy Appeal than just buying one, call 0800 085 5924 or see the website poppy.org.uk to find out how you can get involved.
Nationally, poppy sales are expected to break last year’s record, when £30m was raised.
We also want to know what you think.
Please send 60 words on why you think it is important to wear a poppy to tshepherd@oxfordmail.co.uk
