Staff are hoping to have Sainsbury’s at Heyford Hill, Oxford open before lunchtime following a a small fire involving an electrical cable earlier today.
Firefighters were called to the store shortly before 5am and isolated the cable.
The fire was out when they arrived and the crews used a thermal imaging camera to check there was no further fire.
A spokesman from the store, which usually opens at 7am, said it was hoped it would be open before lunchtime but engineers were working on site to check all electrical cables.
