Sainsbury’s at Heyford Hill, Oxford is closed after a small fire involving an electrical cable early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the store shortly before 5am and isolated the cable.

The fire was out when they arrived and the crews used a thermal imaging camera to check there was no further fire.

The store was due to open at 7am but remained closed at 8am while engineers were working on site to fix the electrical fault which caused the fire.
