Traffic is easing after six-mile tailbacks on the A34 at Milton, near Didcot after a caravan lost its wheel.
The northbound carriageway was reduced to one lane for around an hour to allow a new wheel to be safely fitted to the vehicle.
The incident happened at about 2.35pm.
