Regarding the continuing saga about the ‘losses’ of UK citizens’ computerised personal details including, ironically, the records of 84,000 prisoners.

If we are to believe all of these events are genuine losses, why aren’t the security protocols of the highest level possible and why isn’t anyone held publicly accountable?

Could it be – heaven forbid – that these ‘accidental’ events are actually deliberate to force us into accepting that all our personal details are on the open market anyway, so we might as well accept an ID card system, because it wouldn’t be telling anyone any more about us than is public knowledge anyway.
