These are the faces of two burglars thought to have conned their way into a pensioner's home claiming they needed to fix a burst water pipe.

The two men went to a 81-year-old woman's home in Withington Road, in Bicester, at 8.30pm on Tuesday, October 14.

They talked their way inside by claiming they needed to turn off the stop cock.

One of them went into the kitchen while the other held the pensioner's handbag and told her he saw a young man run out of the property holding some money.

She went to look outside but the two men left, stealing £650.

Pc Mike West, investigating the incident, said: "I appeal to anyone who recognises these two men to contact police immediately.

"I urge family and friends of elderly people to remind them not to let anyone into their home who comes round unexpectedly."

The distraction burglars were described as both aged in their 20s and were wearing jeans.

One was white, with fair hair, and the second was mixed race, with short dark hair.
