Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal accident between junctions six and five of the southbound carriageway of the M40.
The collision, which involves two lorries, occurred at around 3.20am this morning. The driver of one of the vehicles, a man, has been declared dead at the scene.
As a result of the collision, one of the lorries has shed its load across all six lanes of both the north and south carriageway.
The southbound carriageway is currently closed at junction six and the northbound carriageway is currently closed at junction four.
The closures are likely to remain in place for some time. Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and to only make their journey if totally necessary.
