Charity the Parasol Project, which organises activities to integrate disabled and non-disabled children, has appealed for donations of gowns and dinner suits for a Christmas ball.

Dan Norey, from the charity, which is based at the Northway Centre, Oxford, said: "We offer disabled children and non-=disabled children the chance to do things together, so we have to make it as exciting and easy for people as possible.

"We want to hold a ball, or a disco or a prom, so that everyone who might not normally get a chance to go to events like these, through their school, youth club or whatever, can do so.

"And we don't want anyone to worry about whether they've got enough money to buy new clothes for it."

Pictured on an outing to the Laser gaming park, in Culham, are Lloyd Barrett, 18, left, and Ross Moyle, 16.

Anyone who can donate clothes for the ball on December 20 can call 01865 742816.
