I refer to your article about the Scouts receiving awards at Thames Valley Police headquarters, Kidlington (Oxford Mail, October 16).
Congratulations to those concerned.
But surely the police could hold their ceremonies there too, rather than a golf club.
Where is the dignity?
The Police Long Service Medal is a Crown award and is presented by the chief constable on behalf of the Crown and it should be treated with the respect it deserves.
