The Unipart Automotive Karting Team reached a podium position by taking third place in the Automotive Industry Charity (BEN) Karting Championship Finals. Raising more than £8,500 for BEN, the Karting Team was also awarded with the Top Fundraiser trophy.

The Unipart Automotive team included Unipart Automotive executive Malcolm England, Piers Farley, Andy Roberts and Unipart Automotive Associates Dick Ayre and Kevin Owen.

The five-strong team secured their place in the final after qualifying in one of the three regional heats. The Unipart Team were up against teams including Garage Equipment Services and the Lincs Imps in the final – a 100 lap endurance race that featured five driver changes and a fuel stop - which took place at the Paul Fletcher International circuit, near Grantham.   The championship series started in September and consisted of three regional endurance karting heats at venues across the UK.

The Unipart Automotive team members were presented with third place winner trophies in addition to their special team trophy for Top Fundraiser.
