Police today appealed for help in tracing an £800 bicycle stolen during a burglary in Oxford.
At sometime between 1.20pm and 4.45pm last Thursday, a house in Meadow Lane was broken into.
The French windows were smashed using a hammer and a 32-inch television was stolen. A Trek bike, which was hung up in an unlocked garden shed, was also taken.
Det Con Lisa Heaton, of the Oxford Burglary Team, said: “This bike is quite distinctive and worth £800. If anyone has been offered this bike to buy, or has seen it being used, then please contact us; if we find the bike there is a good chance we will find whoever committed the burglary.
“Also, if you were in the Meadow Lane area on Thursday afternoon when the burglary took place and you saw something suspicious then please let us know.”
Det Con Heaton can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
