A school has been granted permission to build a new facility for nursery children.
Oxfordshire County Council has given Radley Primary School, in Church Road, planning consent to open a new nursery class.
It will replace an existing on-site pre-school, which is due to close this December.
However, staff will continue to work at the new facility for children aged from three to five, under the management of Radley Primary School.
The nursery — which will provide space and toilet facilities for 39 children, as well as a small kitchen and office area — is due to open in January.
Michael Waine, county council cabinet member for schools improvement, said: "This is great news for Radley Primary School and for the future education of nursery-age children in and around the village.
"Provision for three- to five-year-olds at the primary school was already first-class and it will now benefit further from the new fit-for-purpose building. We will be working hard to ensure a smooth transition to the new facility."
