An event celebrating Black History Month was held at Oxford's King's Centre on Saturday.
Around 13 exhibitors manned information stands at the centre, in Osney Mead, including the Samuel Ajayi Crowther Centre, named after the first black African bishop of the Church of England, who was formerly a slave.
Oxfordshire Living Word Fellowship, a UK charity, hosted the event as a part of a month of celebrations of black culture, history, achievements and contributions to humanity.
Organiser Pastor Memory Tapfumaneyi said: "We celebrated African culture through music, dance and various African and Caribbean cuisines."
Speakers included Thames Valley Police's community and diversity officer Sarah Longman and Oxford's Lord Mayor, Susanna Pressel, right, plus many others.
Visitors were then able to ask speakers questions after their speeches.
