R Lee (Oxford Mail, October 2) asks why I drive to Sainsbury's at Heyford Hill in Oxford when it's only a short walk over the footbridge from my home.
The main reason was I filled my car there with petrol. It seemed the most obvious thing to do — a weekly shop and petrol at the same time.
Of course, if I were a bit younger, I might have been able to cart petrol cans over the footbridge, just to save fuel by not taking the car there.
I now do most of my shopping at Tesco.
