Skiffle sounds lifted spirits in hospital wards
A skiffle group livened up the wards at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.
The wards of the Headington hospital and the adjacent Wingfield Hospital echoed to the sounds of the Ecclesiastical Stompers, a group of Oxford University students, in February 1957.
