Six teenagers who attacked another youth in Grove using baseball bats and metal poles were today convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Shane Hare, of Mereland Road; Benjamin Sinclair, of Kibble Close; and Damon Bishop, of Churchill Close, all aged 18 and from Didcot, were convicted at Oxford Crown Court after a four-week trial.
Three other 17-year-olds, who cannot be named because of their age, were also convicted of the same charge.
During the trial, the court heard the group were part of a self-styled gang who exchanged insults with a youth from Grove on a social networking website.
They then drove to the village and attacked a different teenager, who cannot be named, with a metal bar, before kicking and stamping on his head when he was on the ground.
The court was told the victim had suffered brain damage, which meant he was temporarily unable to talk, but he had since made a full recovery.
The jury was told the gang had then smashed car windows in Tubbs Close as they left the scene.
Judge Patrick Eccles adjourned sentencing.
