A man has been fined £350, with costs totalling £537, after leaving a fast food bag on a bench.
Anthony Chilton, of Grimsbury, Banbury, was hit with the bill after abandoning a large bag of McDonald's food outside the Marks &Spencer store, in Bridge Street, Banbury, in June this year.
The case went to Banbury Magistrates' Court after he refused to give his details and was verbally abusive to a warden for issuing him with a fixed penalty notice.
Magistrates fined him £350 for littering and ordered him to pay a £15 victim's surcharge as well as £522 towards the council's costs.
