A multi-vehicle pile-up brought chaos to the A34 in south Oxfordshire for the second consecutive evening.
Reports say an accident has happened on the southbound carriageway near East Ilsley involving four cars and two lorries.
The pile-up closed the southbound carriageway for more than an hour and the northbound carriageway was also closed for 15 minutes, shortly after 6pm, to allow the air ambulance to land.
One lane has now reopened on the southbound carriageway but traffic in the area is facing serious congestion.
