A pile-up closed the southbound carriageway of the A34 near Abingdon this evening.
First reports say a multi-vehicle crash has happened between the A415 Marcham Road (Marcham Interchange) and A4130 (Milton Interchange).
Congestion on the A34 is reported back to the A4183 Oxford Road (Abingdon North) junction.
The road was reopened by 7pm with reports of five miles of queueing traffic.
In a separate incident, there were reports of a person walking the central reservation between Didcot and Newbury which caused traffic to slow.
