A fire crew closed a city road this afternoon when they used a large extendable ladder to pluck an injured builder to safety.
Bullingdon Road in East Oxford was closed for a short time while the worker was lifted from scaffolding at the rear of a property in Iffley Road and taken to hospital at about 4.30pm.
A firefighter at the scene said he believed the man had suffered minor rib injuries.
