Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing an elderly man has gone missing.

Ian Simpson, 75, left his home in Shepherd’s Green in the village of Rotherfield Greys, near Sonning Common, at 6pm last night. He has not been seen since.

Mr Simpson is 5ft 10in tall and when he was last seen was wearing a grey, knitted cardigan with a shirt, pale grey corduroy trousers, brown leather shoes and he was carrying a wooden walking stick.

Sgt Paul Jones from Henley police station said: “Mr Simpson has serious memory problems so it is vital we find him as soon as possible.

“He has gone missing before and could be anywhere in South Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or even north Hampshire. He may appear to be quite confused and disorientated so, if you see him, please contact us straight away.”
