All parents need ask themselves this question: "What is my child doing right now? Are they being drawn in to the real dark side of the Internet?"
These horrible pictures of deadly weapons in young hands seem to be influencing young minds. It shows knife crime in a new light that is truly frightening, because it is done so secretly within their own home.
Yes, parents can't keep eyes on what their children are up to all the time, so there is no easy answer to this problem.
Restricting use of the computer at certain times could help, but most important is pointing at the risk they are taking by getting involved.
If parents talk it through, with patience and understanding, and encourage children to take up other interests, the computer might lose its appeal.
Parents should also keep a check on what their children are viewing. Remember, children are so vulnerable.
