A man is in hospital suffering from serious injuries following a hit-and-run in Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
Cuddesdon Way was cordoned off by police between Blackbird Leys Road and Sawpit Road at about 6pm.
Sgt Peter Jell, from Bicester Roads Policing, said: "An incident has occurred along a road where a pedestrian has been hit by a car and the car has failed to stop.
"The condition of the casualty is serious and we have a number of officers trying to locate the offending vehicle."
About ten police officers are currently investigating.
The victim was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.
