A professional couple are looking forward to moving into their dream home in South Oxfordshire for Christmas.
Last year Aaron Jaycock and Emily Stevens, both directors of car dealer Oxford Autosports, bought a semi-derelict bungalow from Little Milton-based estate agents Morgan & Associates.
They are now close to completing the project — The Glebe at Church Road, Horspath.
Mr Jaycock said: "My father, Barry, a semi-retired builder managed the project and we are expecting to move in before Christmas.
"The house stands in three acres of grounds and has a swimming pool. It has been finished to exacting standards with all the latest technology.
"The basement has a huge cinema room with a plasma screen."
However, The Glebe was not the first property that the couple considered for converting into their dream home They initially bought Keeper's Cottage at Woodperry, but this is now on the market at £435,000.
Sue Morgan, of Morgan & Associates. said: "It is a pretty Victorian cottage in a wooded plot of about a quarter-of-an-acre near to Stanton St John and Studley Wood golf course "The three-bedroomed cottage needs complete refurbishment and plans have been prepared for planning permission to extend the property to create a larger home."
She added: "It offers a rare opportunity for a prospective buyer to create a delightful home to their individual taste, subject to any necessary planning permissions and building regulations."
