A teenage cyclist killed after a collision with a coach carrying pupils to an Abingdon school today was a student at Larkmead School.
Headteacher Chris Harris confirmed that the girl was in Year 13 and was aged either 17 or 18.
The accident happened between 8.15am and 8.30am today, just outside McDonald’s and Abingdon police station in Colwell Drive.
The cyclist was involved in an accident with an orange Tappins coach, which was carrying pupils to Abingdon Boys' School.
Jane Warne, press officer for Abingdon Boys' School, said: "It was a coach with our pupils in it. All we can confirm is that our boys were on the coach and they are well."
Colwell Drive was cordoned off and a screen was put up around the white sheet which covered the body of the cyclist. A khaki bag lay next to the body.
McDonald’s was also closed while police investigated the accident.
