Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which has left a man in hospital with serious injuries.
The incident happened at about 5.20pm yesterday.
Police said a silver Rover 25 lost control and left the A34 northbound carriageway at East Ilsley, and ended up in a field approximately 30 metres from the road.
The two occupants were taken by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The driver, a 23-year-old man from Birmingham, has suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition.
The passenger, a 23-year-old woman, also from Birmingham, has been treated for a broken arm.
