Supermarket chain Sainsbury's is closing its store in London Road, Headington, for good this afternoon.
Sainsbury's has ended its relationship with oil company Shell and is closing all its Local stores on filling station forecourts.
The petrol station will be temporarily closed while the shop is refitted.
A spokesman for Shell said they hoped to have it back in operation "as soon as possible".
It is not yet known which company will replace Sainsbury's on the site.
