Following my letter about car washing workers in the car park at Sainsbury's, Heyford Hill, Oxford, I have extra, secret information to reveal. This comes straight from the horse's mouth — a high-ranking team leader, who works at the store.

Although they wash cars, they are also there to keep an eye on customers' vehicles and personal belongings inside them.

"The number of thefts from the car park has dramatically decreased since the car washers have been there", were the team leader's words.

Talk about undercover work at this 'super' store.

That reminds me, isn't there a police station inside this Sainsburys?

Hasn't their presence had an impact on car crime?

How silly of me to think that those men with chamois leathers and sponges were there to wash cars.

Somebody please offer Sainsburys a good deal on a CCTV system for its car park.
