A disabled woman was attacked by a teenage girl as she walked her dog.
She was pushed to the ground by a girl, believed to be a 14- or 15-year-old, near a playground in Chaffinch Road, Langford Village, in Bicester, some time between 8pm and midnight on Friday.
The disabled woman, who walks with a cane, received cuts to her face as the attack continued while she was on the ground.
Pc David Brenchley, from Bicester police station, said "This was a despicable crime against a defenceless disabled woman in a residential area where a girl took advantage and used a weapon to injure the woman.
"This is a serious assault and I urge anyone who may have seen anything or with any information to come forward."
Police described the attacker as white, 14 years old, of large build, around 5ft 5ins tall with dark hair. She was wearing a distinctive black and white spotted jacket, dark blue jeans and black calf-length boots.
