Well done to the management of the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford! I bet letting abseilers dangle from ropes on the outside of the building really cheers up all those patients trying to recover on the wards inside.
Isn't it bad enough that these patients are gawped at by cleaning and catering staff?
They don't need some charity campaigner swinging to and fro, boasting how much money they have raised, outside the window.
There is one consolation in allowing such risky goings on outside the hospital walls. If any abseilers fall to the ground, there won't be too far to take them for repair. And please, no jokes about it's curtains for those patients in the JR.
