So a judge thinks sentencing thug Gary Johnson to six years in jail and banning him from working with children for life was an acceptable punishment (Oxford Mail, September 25).
Does he not realise that Johnson's attack on his own eight-week old daughter was so violent that she will now have to serve a life sentence because of injuries caused by him.
Every day, the news is full of pathetic sentences dished out to thugs and criminals who cause life-changing injuries or death, whether by violence or drink driving etc.
I know there are people out there who don't agree with the term "an eye for an eye''.
But I bet there are some who would love to be put in a room with Johnson so he can see what it feels like to be violently attacked and receive a life sentence.
He isn't eight months old.
