Drivers on the M40 were delayed this morning by a multi-vehicle accident and a broken-down lorry.
Both incidents took place on the southbound carriageway and affected rush-hour traffic.
The multi-vehicle accident took place shortly before 7am between junction nine at Weston-on-the-Green and junction eight at Oxford.
Shortly before, a broken-down lorry near junction eight also caused delays for drivers.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance said paramedics were still dealing with the aftermath of the crash at 8.15am, but could provide no further details.
