We have lost count of the number of security blunders in recent months.

CDs go missing in the post, computer hard drives containing banking information are bought on Internet auction sites and laptops are left on trains. It seems never ending.

Now a folder containing the personal details of at least 10 vulnerable adults is picked up by a shopper in Templars Square shopping centre in Cowley.

An investigation is under way — the stock phrase trotted out after any security blunder — but it beggars belief such carelessness could exist in the first place.
