Oxford United became the first side to lose to bottom club Lewes this season as they destroyed all the good work of midweek.
New captain Joe Burnell bagged his first goal of the season but poor defending let in Lewes for an equaliser on 79 minutes, and then a winner two minutes from time.
It was a result to rank alongside those of last season when United crashed at Droylsden and Tonbridge Angels.
Lewes looked a very limited side, yet Oxford couldn't get the second goal they needed..
Burnell's goal came in the 62nd minute, a perfectly-placed header from Lewis Haldane's left-wing cross.
But it was old boy Michael Standing who poked in the equaliser, after United allowed a long ball to drift over everyone.
And on 88 minutes, unmarked Sam Gargan shot home at the far post at a corner.
Oxford looked a yard quicker to the ball than Lewes in the opening exchanges, and the visitors dominated the first 20 minutes.
James Constable got past the Rooks defence with a burst of speed but his shot was comfortably saved.
Jamie Guy also outpaced the Lewes defenders, on a well-worked break down the left, but keeper Rikki Barnes was alert enough to cut out his cross.
Guy had a shot saved after cutting inside from the left, and as the U's remained in complete control, Constable had a goal ruled out by offside, although the assistant referee's flag had gone up immediately.
Scott Taylor forced the game's first corner for Lewes, on 17 minutes, but it came to nothing, and one of the first real opportunities from a set piece came when an Oxford corner, floated over by Phil Trainer, was hooked back by Guy, and eventually the ball dropped to Yemi Odubade, who volleyed over.
Lewes played a high line at the back, but Oxford didn't help themselves as Guy was frequently caught offside.
Lewes tried their luick with a couple of long-range shots, from Joe Keehan and Ollie Rowland, but it needed more than that to beat Turley.
The U's brought on Lewis Haldane and Sam Deering early in the second half, and both players had an impact.
It was from Haldane's cross, following a corner played short by Deering, that Burnell headed powerfully home from 15 yards.
But it all went pearshaped after that.
