Police today appealed for information after a house was burgled in Preston Crowmarsh.
The thieves broke into the property, between 10am last Friday and 8am on Sunday, and stole a variety of electrical and hand tools.
Det Con Georgina Bradley said: “It is believed this burglary happened at around lunchtime on Saturday.
“Two women were seen knocking on doors in the local area on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to the burglary and I would like to speak to them or anyone who may have seen them, in relation to this.
“The women are white, medium build with a Irish accents, in their late thirties to early forties. They are both about 5ft 5in and 5ft 7in tall with short brownish/grey hair.
“I would also like to appeal for witnesses who may have seen an old white Transit van in the Preston Crowmarsh area on Saturday at about 1.15pm and remind residents to be careful of people coming to their properties, making enquiries and to report any suspicious activity to the police.”
If you have any information that could help the police with their enquiries, contact PC Wright on 0845 8505 505 or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
