Having spent a little time recently in the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, I would like to confirm, beyond doubt, that the NHS is one of the greatest blessings our nation has ever received.
The nurses were virtual angels, and the surgeons of the finest.
It always seems a great pity that some, in their personal suffering and misery, fail to see the magnificence they currently share.
I met many stoic characters there for whom the future must appear bleak, yet they were full of confidence.
Running costs are always a concern in any undertaking.
If anyone is appreciative of the NHS, may I suggest that they continue to offer the 'widow's mite'? It all counts.
May our blessings continue and we learn to be grateful.
