On Monday morning, I was working as usual from home when I spotted a middle-aged woman walking up High Street, Kidlington, towards School Road.
I was instantly intrigued by her behaviour as she bent down here and there.
It was not until she got much closer that I realised that she was collecting pieces of litter as she walked.
This was not her job, but something she obviously felt compelled to do as she continued her walk, stopping only to pick up more and more litter before she went out of my sight by Old Chapel Close.
I do not know her, but would like to say a public thank-you to her for looking after our village.
