A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a collision near Charlbury.
Police were called to the B4437 Woodstock Road at 6pm yesterday after a collision between two Nissan cars.
Two people were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
One was believed to be serious, but non-life threatening condition, while a second suffered minor injuries.
Police spokesman Claire Gourlay said a man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving but had no further information.
The road was closed for almost five hours while police launched an investigation and the debris was removed.
