Police have appealed for information after two robbers assaulted a man in Oxford.
Police said a 23-year-old man was approached by two men in Little Clarendon Street, outside Strada restaurant, at about 1.30pm on Tuesday.
They attempted to steal his watch, assaulted him, and then ran away towards Walton Street.
Both were described as mixed race.
One was about 5ft 9in, in his late 20s, of medium build. He was wearing light-coloured clothing and carrying a dark rucksack.
The second was between 6ft and 6ft 2in, slimmer, with short dark hair and was wearing dark clothing.
Det Con Iain Spencer, of Oxford’s robbery team, said: "The incident took place at a busy time of day. I appeal to anyone who was in the restaurant or walking past and witnessed the incident to contact police."
